Please find below our Parent Overview detailing what our children in Year 2 are learning this week.

| Literacy | We are continuing to work on our recounts, as we use our drafting and editing skills. We will be checking our work for missing capital letters, full stops and past tense. We will also be upskilling our writing by adding some more ambitious vocabulary and sentence starters. |
| Science | While we continue to observe the seeds growing in the classrooms, we will be looking at the life cycles of animals. |

Maths |
This week we are looking at the relationship between multiplication and division. We will be recalling table facts from the 2s,5s and 10s, describing arrays and solving multiplication and division problems. |
| Wider Curriculum |
Music – We will be practising our summer show ‘Eddie the Penguin Saves the World’. History – We are learning about the monarchy of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I and comparing them. P.E. -We will be focusing on the key skills of throwing, running effectively and teamwork as we begin to prepare for sports day. PSHE- We are learning about people who keep us safe. R.E - We are continuing to look at belonging as this week we learn about how a Muslim child expresses their faith. |
