Literacy
|
In Literacy this week, we will continue exploring the theme of friendship by creating and writing our own friendship recipes. The children will learn about the features of instructions and recipes, discussing how they need to be clear, precise, and easy to follow. We will identify features such as numbered steps and the use of imperative (bossy) verbs. Working together, the children will explore these features before collaborating in groups to sequence a friendship recipe. This activity will support them in planning and writing their own friendship recipes using the features they have learned. |
| Maths |
This week in maths we will be looking at the numbers 1-5 and how they can be partitioned in different ways. We will then look at partitioning them in a systematic way and partitioning numbers 1-5 into two parts. |

Phonics and Handwriting |
Phonics: This week we will be revising our sounds we have learnt so far this term: ay, ai, a-e, ee, ea, e-e, ie, igh, i-e, ow, oa, o-e, oo, ew, u-e. Handwriting: Revise all letter families |
| Wider Curriculum |
Science: To observe and record the signs of Autumn RE: What is Diwali? PE – Inside Gymnastics: linking movements together using large and small body parts. Outside: apply running into a competitive game. PSHE: To understand the difference between unkind behaviour and bullying. |
