Literacy
|
This week in Literacy we will look at the suffix ‘ed’ and how to use when writing in the past tense. The children will be playing games matching the present tense verb to the past tense verb. They will then have images from the story The Last Wolf and write sentences in the past tense describing what's happening. Towards the end of the week, the children will practise sequencing the story through a variety of speaking and listening games and using freeze frames to show frozen moments in time from the story. |
Maths |
This week in maths we will be looking at teen's numbers 11-19. We will be looking at the value of the numbers and partitioning them into tens and ones. We will complete a variety of activities and games to help support our understanding of partitioning. |

Wider Curriculum |
Science – Identifying British trees- To identify some common plants and trees. RSHE – Physical Health and Mental Wellbeing- To understand the importance of a healthy diet PE – Rackets, bats and balls- The focus of the learning is for pupils to develop their ability to keep a ball controlled using a racket and to apply this understanding. Geography: The UK Countries- To learn the capital cities an and flags of the four nations of the United Kingdom. Art: Andy Goldsworthy – To model in natural materials to assemble basic shapes or forms. RE: Eid- I can discuss why Muslims celebrate Eid and understand why it is an important festival for them |
