Curriculum area	We are learning to…
Language and communication	Share the story ‘Tiddler’ and discuss Learn new words: syllable, Bible, Quran, Sacred
Literacy	Read and discuss the story “Tiddler”. Draw the main character and setting from the story and write a sentence to describe. Practice our cursive handwriting focusing on the positioning of letters: o, p, q, d, s and f. Practice spelling our tricky words Phonics – polysyllabic words
Maths	Recognise why numbers are odd or even Sort numbers into odds and evens
Understanding the World	To understand that different religions have special books and to name these books
Expressive Art and Design	To continue exploring making different sounds using ‘Djembe Drums’ within our music sessions
Physical Development	Develop our fine motor skills through a range of different activities – e.g. cutting, drawing, handwriting. Explore different movements using different body parts of the body.   Explore different ways of using our feet to move with a ball.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development	To read the story ‘Super Duper You’ and discuss what makes us special and unique.
